In English

Chimutsamapfihwa is very similar to kugara nhaka but works in the opposite direction: a widower is given the younger sister of his deceased wife, or one of her nieces, to marry. For example, the deceased wife's younger sister is given to the husband to help him look after the family. Her role is to continue carrying out the duties and responsibilities that her sister (or relative) held within the family.
