Chirewauwandu chinotsanangura uzhinji kana kushomeka kwechinhu, senge 'mbudzi dzose' (mbudzi zhinji, pasina yasarira). Chine madzitsi matatu makuru: /-se/ (hapana chinosara, sokuti 'tose'), /-ga/ (chinhu chimwe chete, sokuti 'ndoga'), ne/-mene/ (pachako, pasina chimwe chawedzerwa, sokuti 'iye omene').

Quantitatives describe how much or how little of something there is, e.g. 'mbudzi dzose' ('all the goats', none left out). There are three main stems: /-se/ (nothing left out, e.g. 'tose', 'all of us'), /-ga/ (only one, e.g. 'ndoga', 'only me'), and /-mene/ (by itself, unaided, e.g. 'iye omene', 'he/she alone').
