While Nhimbe was the foundation of cooperation, there were other systems like Majangano and Majana. Majangano were smaller work groups involving fewer households than a nhimbe. Majana was a cooperative system for herding cattle. Each household would take a turn herding the entire group's cattle for a set number of days, freeing up other families to do other work.
